  • What should we expect?

    • Black Excellence Beach Weekend is a unique experience where travelers come together to have a good time and celebrate life. This isn’t your typical group trip as there is no strict itinerary. Everyone is encouraged to do their own thing however there are several activities where the entire group is invited to attend. Just imagine smaller friend circles that meet other friend circles and all party together. By the end of the trip, the group is one big family. So you can expect an epic trip, with nothing but positive vibes and good energy. Just nonstop fun, laughter and amazing memories which will last forever.

  • Is transportation from the airport provided?

    • No, transportation is not included in the room package. However, we do partner with transportation company and can provide a recommendation for booking transportation to and from the hotel.

 

  • What airport should we fly into?

    • The closest airport to the hotel is Liberia Guanacaste Airport: officially known as Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) which is located approximately 1.5 hours from Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica Resort & Spa. Just a reminder that flights are not included in the event package and that you do need a Passport to travel to Costa Rica.

 

  • When is the deposit due? Final payment due?

    • The $200 non-refundable deposit is due on Friday, November 17, 2023. There will be 3 additional payments: January 5, 2024, March 1, 2024, and the final payment is due Friday, May 3, 2024. The official payment schedule can be found in the invoice you receive before you pay your deposit. All major credit cards are accepted via PayPal. You are also able to pay directly from your bank account through PayPal. Feel free to make your payments early, however there will be a late fee for payments made after the due date.

  • How do i make future payments on my invoice after the deposit has been paid?

    • Future payments must be made via the invoice in your email. Please check your email for previous emails we’ve sent to find your invoice. You will have a link to it in the “Welcome to Black Excellence Beach Weekend 2024” email and every payment confirmation email that we send, including the Deposit Confirmation Email. There are 2 different options for making future payments.

      • Option A: Follow the set payment schedule by clicking "Pay Now" on each line of the invoice by the designated due date of each payment.

      • Option B: Enter in a custom amount that you'd like to pay (at the bottom of the invoice). Feel free to make as many payments as you'd like before the final due date or even make a one-time payment to pay your invoice in full. Keep in mind, you will still need to adhere to the payment schedule to ensure you have at least paid the amount owed by each due date.

  • How do we indicate who we’re rooming with?

    • There will be a place to add your roommate’s information before you pay your deposit.

  • Can I book a reservation for my roommate?

    • Because the room packages are priced per person, we need an individual invoice for each trip attendee. Therefore, we ask that each person reserves their spot separately, even if you plan to room with someone. Please direct your roommate to the Black Excellence Beach Weekend website, where they can complete the same steps you did to reserve their spot and pay the deposit. (You can also do it for them, if you'd like.) Your roommate(s) must all select the same room types and number of nights to ensure that your room is booked properly.

      Please Note: If you are making a deposit for someone else and entered the same email address that you used to book your own room, it will change the name on the invoice to your name. Our system doesn't allow for different names to be attached to the same email address. This is completely fine. As long as we have both names, each person will be able to attend no matter how you chose to book and pay.

  • can i change the room occupancy on my room (i.e. book a single and change it to a double?

    • Yes, you are able to change the room occupancy and either add or remove a roommate from your room. Please be aware that these changes will be based on pricing and availability of rooms. This may also affect the bedding type you receive. Please email us, and CC your roommate, with the changes you are requesting.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    • September 15 - December 27, 2023: All payments are refundable other than the $200 deposit (non-refundable).

    • December 28, 2023 - February 27, 2024: One-night stay cancellation fee.

    • February 28 - April 27, 2024: Two-night stay cancellation fee.

    • April 28 - May 27, 2024: Three-night stay cancellation fee.

    • After May 28, 2024: Any cancelled rooms are charged the full stay of the reservation booked.

  • Will we receive a confirmation from the hotel?

    • The room confirmation will come directly from us at Black Excellence Travel Team. The rooms are booked under the group reservation so they are unable to be sent out individually by the hotel.

       

  • We are new to the group. Can we invite friends to come with us?

    • Yes, everyone is invited to attend Black Excellence Beach Weekend. You don’t have to know anyone coming, just sign up and join the fun. Once on the trip, everyone is like family. It’s amazing to experience. But remember, friends don’t let friends miss group trips. Reach One, Beach One! 

  • Are there any discounts provided to existing travel group members?

    • For five new people you bring on the trip, you will receive $200 off your hotel reservation

    • For 10 new people, you will receive $400 off your hotel reservation

    • For 15 new people, you will receive $600 off your hotel reservation

    Please note: a new person is defined as someone who has never attended BEBW in the past. And this credit can only be applied to individuals who have previously traveled with our group (not applicable for first timers).

  • Are children allow on the trip?

    • Although, Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica is a family friendly resort, this is an Adults Only events (ages 18 & up).
