“WE DID IT JOE!”

BLACK EXCELLENCE BEACH WEEKEND 2021 MADE HISTORY!

All we can say is WOW. #BEBW2021 was LITERALLY the best group trip of all time! We did not think it was possible, but the trip exceeded all expectations. Even with all the hype and anticipation increasing over the past two years. While the COVID-19 pandemic postponed the celebration in June 2020, it could not stop the inevitable. We were back OUTSIDE in June 2021! And it was LEGENDARY!

This year the group traveled to the Dominican Republic where Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa was the host hotel. Over 620 people attended the trip and we occupied more than 75% of the resort’s occupancy for the weekend. With only 450 hotel rooms made available due to the pandemic, we had 338 rooms reserved in total. So essentially, our group WAS the resort. The staff should have named it: Black Excellence Punta Cana Resort & Spa…ha!

But all jokes aside, the host hotel was incredible. Breathless Punta Cana Resort was the PERFECT hotel for our group and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The service was EXCEPTIONAL, or should we say, “MAGNIFICO!” Everyone felt safe with the COVID-19 protocols and the resort grounds were extremely clean plus sanitized. Not to mention the staff was super organized with assisting our group. From the private check-in, to the restaurant service, to the room accommodations: 5 STARS!!! We cannot say enough good things about the resort.

And let us not forget the staff’s assistance in the planning and execution of some amazing events. The “Welcome to DR” Party in the hotel ballroom was EPIC! The pool party and Sunset Kickback were DOPE! And the highlight of the trip was easily the Beach Day Party. That party was an entire VIBE! 600+ Black people just dancing and having a great time together. That party will go down in HISTORY! Lastly, we ended the trip with the Boat Party. Since we had so many people, we needed 4 boats. 4 BOATS! We pulled up to the natural pool and got off the boats to party in the Atlantic Ocean. It was AMAZING!

Black Excellence Beach Weekend 2021 was something incredibly special. It was a legit Black Excellence family reunion! The energy was on another level the entire trip and group members partied like never before. If the past year has shown us anything, it’s that we cannot take life for granted. Time is really precious. But God is so good and we are grateful he allowed us to travel together one more time. When the DJ played “Melodies From Heaven” and “Never Would Have Made It,” the tears were flowing! Looking forward to shedding more tears and creating many more unforgettable memories in the future.
